William, known as The Lion, was born in 1143 in Scotland.1   The Lion's father was Prince, Earl of Huntington Henry Caenmore of Scotland and his mother was Ada De Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were King David (The Saint) Dunkeld of Scots I and Matilda of Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents were William De Warren II and Isabel (Elizabeth) De Crepi. He had a brother and three sisters, named David, Ada, Majory and Margaret.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 71 on December 4th, 1214 in Stirling, Scotland.1
