King Wittekind (The Great) of Saxons (Widukind)

Wittekind, known as The Great, was born in 0749.¹ The Great's father was Warnechin of Engern and his mother was Kunhilde of Rugen. His paternal grandparents were King of Saxons Dieterick of the Saxons and Dobzogera of Welden. He had a sister named Emhild. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 58 in 0807.¹
