Dermot was born in 0490 in Meath, Ireland.1   Dermot's father was King Fergus of Meath and his mother was Corhach.  His paternal grandparents were King Cremthoinn of Meath and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Maine and <Unknown>.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 64 in 0554.1
