Capys was born in Troy, Troad, Phrygia, Asia Minor.1 Capys' father was Assaracus of Dardania and his mother was Aigesta. His paternal grandparents were Tros Acadia and Callirhot Callirhoe Illum. He was an only child.General Notes
Capys the Dardanian In Greek mythology, Capys was a son of Assaracus and Aigesta or Themiste and father of Anchises and so grandfather of Aeneas the Trojan, who warned not to bring the Trojan horse into the city. Founded the city of Capua.
