Sofie was born in 1210 in Arnsberg, Westfalen, Prussia.1   Sofie's father was Count Gottfried of Arnsberg and her mother was Burgravine Agnes of Rudenberg.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 35 on January 19th, 1245.1
