Death Notes
WILL OF JOHN FOSTER, SR. In the name of God, Amen. I, John Foster of the Parish of St. Ann and the Court of Essex County being sick and weak but of sound and perfect senses and memory thanks be to the Almighty God. Do make this my last Will and Testament as follows The first) I lend to my beloved wife my land during her widowhood and afterwards I desire it to be divided between my two youngest sons, Ambrose and James, the land on the north most side of a branch which heads on the Said Smothers land on the other the widow Hinds and I give unto my son Ambrose all the other part with tall the (appurtenance?) there unto belonging I give unto my son James to them and their heirs lawfully begotten and if either or both of them should die without heirs his or their parts to fall to my son Joseph Secondly) Lend to my wife during her widowhood all of the personal effects and afterwards to be equally divided amongst all of her present children and I do constitute and appoint my beloved wife my soul executrix on this my last Will and Testament as witnessed my hand and seal this eight (8) day of January 1733 Signed and sealed in presence of Wm Upshaw and Edward (X) Webb
