Reginald de Valletort I 
Reginald was born in 1060 in Vautorte, Mayenne, Maine, France.1 Reginald's father was Godfrey de Valletort and his mother was <Unknown>. His paternal grandparents were Joel de Valletort and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Hugh. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 26 in 1086 in Bere Ferrers, Tavistock, Devonshire, England.1 General Notes

In 1086 Bere Ferrers (Birland) and New ton Ferrers (Niw etona ) were both held by Reginald de Valletorte of Robert count of Mortain. At a later date both were held by Ferrers o f Valleto te as of the barony of Trematon. The earliest recorded existence of this family i n Devon was Ralf de Ferrers in 1168. Ferrieres is 12 kil. Reginald also held Fardell Manor,Corn wood, Devonshire, England at the time of the Domesday (1086). This also ended up eventually with the Ferrers .
