Mahaut de Rumigny

Mahaut was born in 1125 in Rumigny, Champagne-Ardenne, France.¹ Mahaut's father was Seigneur Nicolas de Rumigny II and her mother was Alix de Hainault. Her maternal grandparents were Comte Baldwin de Flandres II and Ida de Louvain. She had a brother and two sisters, named Nicholas, Hauvide and Beatrix. She was the youngest of the four children.
