Gisele de Luxembourg 
Gisele was born in 1018 in Chateau de Salm, Luxembourg, Belgium.1 Gisele's father was Count Frederic de Luxembourg I and her mother was Ermentrude of Gleiburg. Her paternal grandparents were Siegfried de Luxembourg II and Edith Hedwig de Longwy; her maternal grandparents were Herbert in the Moselgau and Ermentrude von Avalgau of Saxony. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Giselbert, Frederick, Gilbert, Irmtrud and Ogive. She was the youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 40 in 1058 in Chapel of St. Lawrence, Ghent.2 General Notes
