Duc Matthias de Lorraine I

Matthias was born in 1115 in France.¹ Matthias' father was Duc Simon de Lorraine I and his mother was Adélaïde de Louvain. His maternal grandparents were Comte Henry de Louvain III and Gertrude de Flandres. He had two sisters named Agathe and Mathilde. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 61 on May 13th, 1176.¹
