Thomas was born on September 9th, 1253 in Stanstead, Essex, England. Thomas' father was William de Fortibus and his mother was Isabel de Redviers. His paternal grandparents were William de Fortibus and Aveline De Montfichet. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Aveline and Amice. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 15 on April 6th, 1269 in Stanstead, Essex, England.-
