Earl of Cornwall, Sheriff of Devon Reginald de Dunstanville (Reginald Fitzroy) 
Reginald was born in 1110 in Dunstanville, Kent, England.1 Reginald's father was King Henry (Beauclerc) England I and his mother was Sybil Corbet. His paternal grandparents were William (The Conqueror) de Normandie and Matilda (Maud) of Flanders; his maternal grandparents were Robert Corbet and <Unknown>. He had a brother and four sisters, named Henry, Sibyl, Elizabeth, Constance and Gundred. He was the second youngest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and eleven half-sisters, named The Consul, William, Herbert, Maud, Elizabeth, Matilda, Adelaide, Alice, Constance, Matilda, Isabel, Emma, Alice and Rohese. He died at the age of 65 on July 1st, 1175 in Chertsey, Surrey, England.1 General Notes
His mother was Sibyl Corbet, the wife of Herbert Fitz Herbert.
He was an illegitimate son of Henry I of England and Lady Sybilla Corbet.
Reginald had been invested with the Earldom of Cornwall by King Stephen of England, but having afterwards taken up the cause of the Empress Matilda, his sister, he forfeited his lands and honours. Possibly during 1173 he grants a charter to his free bugesses of Triueru, and he addresses his meetings at Truro to All men both Cornish and English suggesting a continuing differentiation.
