Josceline was born in 1034 in Courtenay, France.1   Josceline's father was Athon de Courtenay and his mother was <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were Castillon Renaud de Courtenay and <Unknown>.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 45 in 1079 in Montlhery, Seine-Et-Oise, France.1
