Adam was born in 1143 in Skelton Castle, Yorkshire, England.1 Adam's father was Adam de Brus II and his mother was Jueta Ivetta de la Arches. His paternal grandparents were Robert (le Meschin) de Brus II and Agnes Paynel; his maternal grandparents were William de Arches and Jueta Ivetta. He had two brothers named Piers and Peter. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Hugh, Agnes and Maud. He died at the age of 53 in 1196 in Skelton Castle, Yorkshire, England.1 -
