William (Le Breton) de Albini 
William, known as Le Breton, was born in 1113 in Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire.1 Le Breton's father was Earl of Arundel William (The Strong Hand) d'Aubigney III and his mother was Cicely Bigod. His paternal grandparents were Lord of Buckingham William d'Aubigney and Mary Bigod; his maternal grandparents were Roger Bigod and Adeliza de Toeni. He had a brother named Ralph. He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named le Breton, Simon, Alice and Matilda. He died at the age of 55 in 1168 in Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire. William, surnamed Meschines, and likewise Brito, had Belvoir Castle and a considerable portion of his lands restored by King Henry II, in the 14th of which monarch's reign [1168] he d. and was s. by his son, by his 1st wife, Adeliza, William de Albini. Note: William "Le Breton" married Maud FitzRobert, according to MCS. I think Sir Bernard Burke above, is confused with William "Strong Hand" d'Aubigny, who married Adeliza of Louvain.
