Erich was born in 0448 in Domnonee, Armorica, Bretagne, France.¹ Erich's father was Aldrien de Bretagne and his mother was de Gaul. His paternal grandparents were Salomon de Bretagne I and Elen verch Patricius; his maternal grandparents were Decime Janius Rustique of Gaul and Artimie of Gaul. He had two brothers and a sister, named Budig, Bican and Gania. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 30 in 0478.²
