Percy Melvin was born on July 19th, 1926 in Rockingham Co, NC. Percy Melvin's father was Percy Melvin Ware and his mother was Theresa Milton. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Earl Ware and Dora Boyd Roberts. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Earl Milton, Richard Conrad, James Spencer, Mary Ellen, Betsy Lea and Living.
