Alfred Monroe was born on November 4th, 1853 in Harrison Co., Kentucky.1 Alfred Monroe's father was Squire Evans WALLINGFORD and his mother was Mary A. BECKETT. His paternal grandparents were Richard WALLINGFORD and Elizabeth BECKETT; his maternal grandparents were Samuel BECKETT and Prudence WALLINGFORD. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Oliver Perry, Miles Alexander, Nathan Ormes, William Sims, John Thomas, Sarah Ann, Mary Elizabeth, Martha and Laura Bell. He died at the age of 59 on July 29th, 1913.1 -
