Verna Esther Underwood 
Verna Esther was born on March 17th, 1909 in LaRue Co., KY. Verna Esther's father was Alfred Thomas Underwood and her mother was Gertrude Bloyd. Her paternal grandparents were Green Berry Underwood and Martha Jane Howell. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Johnny Everett, Robert Bloyd, Grant Hardin, Russell Boone, Estelle, Gladys, Mattie Candice, Mauda and Aileen. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 69 on April 27th, 1978 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY.General Notes
