John W. Tilley 
John W. was born on January 28th, 1870 in Orange Co, NC and his baptism took place in Death Fact. John W.'s father was James Sidney Tilley and his mother was Levana Gustine Leigh. His paternal grandparents were James Tilley and Temperance Roberts. He had three brothers and a sister, named Falconer Richard, Alonzo Dural, Albertus and Cornelia Ann. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had a half-sister named Minnie. He died at the age of 40 on September 30th, 1910 in Hickory, Catawba Co, NC. He was buried on October 2nd, 1910 in Granite Falls Cemetery, Granite Falls, Caldwell Co, NC.General Notes
