Clifford Samuel was born on October 6th, 1901 in Goldendale, Klickitat Co, WA and his baptism took place in Census 1930.1   Clifford Samuel's father was James Wiley Stice and his mother was Loretta Lavena Darland.  His paternal grandparents were Phillip Washington Stice and Sarilda Cockriel. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Roy Harrison, David Granville, James Washington, Lloyd Byron, Clarence Palmer, Dora Ethel and Lillian May.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 72 on December 5th, 1973 in Newcastle, Placer Co, CA.  He was buried in Newcastle Cemetery, Newcastle, Placer Co, CA.1
