Ruby Emma was born on March 22nd, 1909 in McDowell Co, NC. Ruby Emma's father was James Malet Spratt and her mother was Finnie Atherton Goforth. Her maternal grandparents were James Marion Goforth and Harriet Anna Giles. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Joseph Ralph, Glenn Goforth, Annie Mae, Daphne Irene, Ethel Marguerite, Delphia Naomie, Sibyl, Geneva and Sara Francis. She died at the age of 92 on October 9th, 2001 in Shelby, Cleveland Co, NC. She was buried on October 13th, 2001 in Sunset Cemetery, Shelby, Cleveland Co, NC.General Notes
