John Scott

John was born in 1749 in Bedford Co., Virginia.¹ John's father was William Scott and his mother was Lucretia (Lucy) James. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Scott and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Thomas James and Alice Garland. He had ten brothers and a sister, named Thomas, William, Charles, Acton, George, James, Evan, Joseph, Obediah, Peter and Sarah. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.
