Edward Joseph SKAGGS 
Edward Joseph was born on February 10th, 1844 in Madison Co. MO. Edward Joseph's father was Drury Thomas SKAGGS and his mother was Martha "Ann" MURRY. His paternal grandparents were James Skaggs and Mary Anna MCCOLGAN. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Joseph Erastus, Thomas Jefferson, John, William J., Cyrus C., Alfred Ferguson, Martha and Jeanna. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 74 on February 2nd, 1919 in Higdon, MO. He was buried in Mt. Gilead Methodist Church Cemetery.-
