William E    was born in 1910 in Morgan Co., IN .  William E   's father was  Erasmus Dogan  SCHOOLCRAFT and his mother was Nancy Elizabeth A McKEE. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Louis D , Bruce D, Eugene , Clark Raymond , Ida E.  and Martha L .  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
