James Rucker 
James was born in 1818 in Summerville, Monroe Co. Ohio.1 James' father was Ambrose Rucker and his mother was Sarah Steele. His paternal grandparents were Lemuel Rucker and Ann Booten. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Lemuel, Samuel, Jahn, William, John, Polly Wise, Eddeth, Sarah and Elizabeth. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Levi, Stephen, Nelson, Ambrose, Aaron, Wesley, Marriann, Phoebe, Rachel and Amy. He died at the age of 88 in 1906 in Hampton, Iowa.1 -
