Moncure Robinson

Moncure was born in 1658 in Cleasby, York, England.¹ Moncure's father was John Robinson and his mother was Elizabeth Potter. His paternal grandparents were George Robinson and Frances Layton; his maternal grandparents were Christopher Potter and Isabel. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named John, Thomas, Christopher, John, William, Anthony, Samuel, Elizabeth, Mary, Frances, Beverly and Clara. He was the third youngest of the thirteen children.
