William Tilden Roberts 
William Tilden was born on December 30th, 1877 in Granville Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1880.1 William Tilden's father was Edward P. Roberts and his mother was Frances Forsyth. His paternal grandparents were George Pygram Roberts and Ailcy Jones. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named McKenzie, Thadius, Jasper, James B., John E., Vasser Floyd, Lonnie Smith, Nancy, Leana, Lula Belle, Emma R. and Infant Daughter. He was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 65 on September 23rd, 1943 in Durham Co, NC. He was buried on September 25th, 1943 in Community Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Granville Co, NC.1 General Notes
