Robert was born in 1880 in Orange Co, NC.1 Robert's father was James Roberts and his mother was Louella Emma Unknown. His paternal grandparents were James H. Roberts and Jane Carrington. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Charles, James, Minnie, Julia and Addie. He was the third oldest of the six children.1 General Notes
