Martha Roberts 
Martha was born in 1826 in Orange Co, NC.1 Martha's father was John B. Roberts and her mother was Winnifred Umsted. Her paternal grandparents were John Roberts and Elizabeth Jones. She had six brothers and a sister, named Richard, John Wesley, William, Lorenzo, Jesse, Willie and Winnifred. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.1 General Notes
