Jesse Roberts 
Jesse was born in 1805 in Surry County, North Carolina.1 Jesse's father was James Roberts and his mother was UNKNOWN Franky. His paternal grandparents were John Roberts and UNKNOWN Elizabeth. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Jonathan, Hugh H, James, Patsy, Susanna, Elizabeth, Mary, Anna, Jenny, Frances and Sally. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.-
