James Chatham Roberts 
James Chatham was born on December 7th, 1855 in Greene Co, MO.1 James Chatham's father was Henry Beryl Roberts and his mother was Frances Elizabeth Duke. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah Roberts and Rebecca E. Jones. He had a brother and a sister, named Andrew J. and Wilmith Arvilla. He was the oldest of the three children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Elisha M., George H., Harris Benton, Thomas Jefferson and Malissa Ann. He died at the age of 64 on December 8th, 1919 in Bakersfield, Kern Co, CA. He was buried in Union Cemetery, Bakersfield, Kern Co, CA.1 General Notes
