Compton Reade 
Compton was born in 1583 in Barton, Berkshire, England. Compton's father was Thomas Reade and his mother was Mary Stonehouse. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Reade and Mary Brockett. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Richard, Edward, John, Esdras, William, Mary, Elizabeth and Catherine. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.-
