William Purvis

William was born in 1794. William 's father was James Purvis and his mother was Rhoda Roberts. His paternal grandparents were Jesse Purvis and Mary Ballenger; his maternal grandparents were John Roberts and Sarah. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Calvin, James, Alfred, Jesse, John, Catherine, Lydia, Betsy, Nancy, Rhoda and America. He was the third oldest of the twelve children.
