Gundred was born in 1140 in Brampton, Devonshire, England.1   Gundred's father was Fulk de Paynel and her mother was Aude de Abrincis.  Her paternal grandparents were de Paynel and <Unknown>.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 76 in 1216.1
