Tara's father was William Erastus Patterson and her mother was Hattie E. Howell. Her maternal grandparents were William H. Howell and Lethia C. Unknown. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Liston A., Delbert, James M., Boy, Zula M., Jock Lym and Ima G..General Notes
