Nanny Florence was born on March 5th, 1879 in Person Co, NC and her baptism took place in Census 1900. Nanny Florence's father was Richard Gilliam Painter and her mother was Elizabeth J. 'Betty' Rhew. Her maternal grandparents were John Ruffin Rhew and Susan Roberts. She had four brothers and a sister, named James B., William F., Soloman Madison, Ary Ruffin and Sula. She was the third youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 79 on November 26th, 1958 in Roxboro, Person Co, NC. She was buried on November 27th, 1958 in Wilson Family Cemetery, Allensville, Person Co, NC.General Notes
