Thomas was born in 1362 in Raby, Durham, England.1 Thomas' father was John Neville 3rd Lord,Earl Westmoreland and his mother was Maud de Percy. His maternal grandparents were Henry 2nd Baron de Percy , KG, MP, Sir and Idoine de Clifford , Lady Alnwick. He had a brother and six sisters, named Ralph De, Alice De, Eleanor de, Jolande DE, Dionicer De, Maud DE and Elizabeth De. He was the third oldest of the eight children.
