James B. Nance

James B. was born on November 8th, 1856 in Stewarts Creek, Henry Co, VA.¹ James B.'s father was Fountaine Nance and his mother was Jemina Vincent Grant. His maternal grandparents were Archibald Grant and Lydia Roberts. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Addison Toplady, Archibald Harding, Louisiana F. 'Lucie Ann', Frances Jemina, Mary T. and Ada Adele. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died due to Died Sept. 02, 1862 of Diptheria, he was 5yrs. and 9 mos. old. at the age of 5 on September 2nd, 1862 in Stewarts Creek, Henry Co, VA.²
