John R. was born on December 23rd, 1800 in Duplin, N. C.. John R.'s father was Reuben H. NORMAN Sr. and his mother was Rachel BROWNING. His maternal grandparents were Jacob Francis Browning and Elizabeth BYWATERS. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Ezekiel, Benjamin Henderson, Caleb B., Reuben, Frances, Margaret and Polly. He died at the age of 84 in 1884 in Pankeyville, Saline Co., IL.. He was buried in Prob. IL..-
