Chester Arthur was born on January 11th, 1890 in Brown County, Kansas.1 Chester Arthur's father was Mahlon S. Miller and his mother was Jennie Margaret (Jane) Shultz. His maternal grandparents were Daniel Shultz and Mary Ann Enyeart. He had nine brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Louis, Rufus Wallace, Robert Frank, Howard Shultz, James Lloyd, Ernest Richard, Warren Mahlon, Foster E., Forest Jennings, Clara Daphene, Ida May, Edna Maud, Marion Viola, <Unknown> and Marling D. He died at the age of 84 on July 18th, 1974 in Sabetha, Brown County, Kansas. He was buried in Morrill Cem., Brown County, Kansas.2 2 General Notes
