Armistead Ransdell was born on January 28th, 1789 in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY.. Armistead Ransdell's father was Capt. Turner H. MOREHEAD Sr. and his mother was Ann RANSDELL. His paternal grandparents were Capt. Charles MOREHEAD Sr. and Mary Norman TURNER. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Gustavus, Turner, Henry, James, Peggy, Nancy, Polly and Sally. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Charles Robert, John Hooe, Oscar Bell, Susan Hooe, Elizabeth Ann and Mary Hewitt.-
