Joseph Lyon 
Joseph was born in 1741 in Redding, Fairfield, Connecticut. Joseph's father was Nathan Lyon and his mother was Abigail Mallory. His paternal grandparents were Richard Lyon and Mary Frye. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Nathan, Peter, Henry, David, Eli, John, Abigail and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the nine children.-
