Walter Lindsay

Walter was born about 1435 in Castle Crawford, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ Walter's father was 4th Earl of Crawford Alexander Lindsay and his mother was Margaret Dunbar. His paternal grandparents were 3rd Earl of Crawford David Lindsay and Marjory Ogilvy. He had two brothers and a sister, named 5th Earl of Crawford David, Sir Alexander and Countess of Lennox Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the four children.
