John Leek 
John was born in 1390 in Cotham, Nottinghamshire, England.1 John's father was Sir John Leake Lord of Cotham and his mother was Isabel Towers. His paternal grandparents were Sir John of Leake Lord of Cotham and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 66 in 1456.2 General Notes

Probably received Langford as dower when he married Alice. Langford is a confirmed holding of Alice's great-grandfather, John 1st Lord Grey of Unstone.
Need to confirm.
I don't find any Leekes previously holding Langford among their extensive properties.
