Alfred Pierce was born on February 16th, 1853 in Fairfield, Jefferson Co., Iowa.1 Alfred Pierce's father was Samuel Waterman LANGDON and his mother was Sarah MURROW. His maternal grandparents were Charles MURROW and Amy BLUE. He had a brother and four sisters, named John Abraham, Mary Jane, Amy Ann, Amanda Eliza and Sarah Ellen. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died about 1927.1 -
