Ira Kinney 
Ira was born on January 31st, 1778 in Voluntown, New London, Connecticut. Ira's father was Ira Kinney and his mother was Miriam Goodell. His maternal grandparents were Ebenezer Goodell and Experience Lyon. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Darius, Moses, Chester, Thomas, Joseph, Bachus, Esther, Abigail, Alice, Miriam and Vina. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.-
