Andrew Kerr Sr 
Andrew was born about 1727 in PA. Andrew's father was John Kerr and his mother was Lucy Pickens. His paternal grandparents were James Kerr and Martha Ball. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named William, James, Jane, Barbara, Lucy, Martha, Isabella, Elizabeth, Letitia, Margaret and Mary. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died in 1771 in 96 District, SC.Death Notes
AK died on Long Cane by 24 Oct. 1771, when SC Journal of Ct. of Ordinary for that date (p. 8) says that Rachel and James Kerr received citation to admr. his estate, Andrew being late of Long Cane (in Brent Holcomb, PROBATE RECORDS OF SC, vol. 2 [Easley, SC: Southern Hist. P., 1978], p. 7). On 29 Nov. 1771, an edict was issued to John Pickens, Esq., to qualify Rachel and James as administrators (ibid., p. 17; Holcomb, p. 14).
