Joan (The Fair Maid of) Kent Princess of Wales

Joan, known as The Fair Maid of, was born on September 29th, 1328 in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England.¹

Birth Notes

The Fair Maid of's father was Edmund of Woodstock Plantagenet 1st Earl of Kent and her mother was Margaret Wake Baroness Wake. Her paternal grandparents were Edward I (Longshanks of) England King of England and Margaret of France. She had a brother named John. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 56 on August 7th, 1385 in Berkshire, England. She was buried in Stamford, Lincoln.²³
