Murphy Jeffreys 
Murphy was born in 1829 in Orange Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1850.1 Murphy's father was Robert Jeffreys and his mother was Pharaby Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Charles Roberts and Frances Langston. He had a brother and five sisters, named Absolom Carmordy, Phoebe, Mariah, Edna, Betsy and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children.1 General Notes
